Day 1: Arrival in Aswan and
embarkation (Mon, Wed or Fri)
Meet, greet and assistance upon arrival.
Transfer to your ship for Nile Cruise check in.
Once settled in then join your private guide for an excursion tour to visit, Philae Temple. The Temple of Isis is
one of the greatest Temples in Egypt with its huge,
complete, pylons and beautiful scenes. Then view the High Dam, one of the most
outstanding architectural achievements of the twentieth century. Constructed
in 1902 to protect Egypt from the floods as well as providing
irrigation and electricity all over Egypt. It is 3600 meters long.
Then a trip to the Unfinished Obelisk. The beautiful red granites used in
the temples and monuments were brought from
the quarries of Aswan. Whilst here, you can see innumerable inscriptions around
the quarries, which are descriptions of the various quarrying projects. Transfer
back to
Nile Cruise for lunch. Sail to Kom Ombo. Afternoon Tea. Dinner & overnight on board.
Day 2:
Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor
Breakfast. Visit the
Kom Ombo Temple, Located in the town of Kom Ombo, 45 km North of
Aswan. Constructed in the Ptolemaic Roman era for the worship of
Haroeris and Sobek, the crocodile god. It is noted for relief engravings
on its walls which show ancient surgical implements, bone saws and dentistry
tools. Nearby in Hathor's chapel you can view three mummified crocodiles.
Lunch. Sail to Edfu. Visit the Edfu Temple
located on the West Bank of the Nile. Cross the lock. Sail to Luxor,
afternoon tea. Dinner
on board & Galabya party. Overnight Luxor. Day 3: Luxor
Breakfast.
Visit the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings. This valley is
where for a period of nearly 500 years tombs were constructed for the
Kings and powerful nobles of the New Kingdon. The valley stands on the
West Bank of the Nile, across from Thebes (modern Luxor). Lunch. Next
you will visit the Colossi of Memnon, it is 21m tall and represents the
King Amenhotep III seated on his throne, wearing the Memes or royal
headdress, with the divine cobra protecting his forehead. Next you will
visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut who was the fifth Pahroah of the
8th Dynasty and one of only a handful of female rulers in Ancient Egypt.
Her reign was the longest of all female pharaohs. Dinner and overnight
Luxor.
Day 4: Luxor - Disembarkation and Departure
After breakfast, check out and disembark your Nile Cruise.
Then we take you on a final excursion to visit Karnak, which is a series of
temples, built in different reigns. Starting at the Avenue of Sphinxes,
we visit the Unfinished Propylon, the Hypostyle Hall (with 134 gigantic
columns), the obelisks of Queen Hatshepsute and Tutomosis III. Continue
to the temple
of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the magnificent granite Scarab of
Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake. Afterwards we transfer you to your
local hotel, the train station or airport.
